Jesus Heals the Sick
Pastor Scott Brenner John 5:1-15
If we have the illness for 38 years, it is easy for us to get used to it. Besides, we might lose hope for complete healing. So, Jesus points out the problem and asks, "Do you want to be made well?"
Jesus wants us to have a realistic expectation for healing. Jesus commanded to the sick man to rise, take up his bed and walk.
There is power in Jesus' command.
The sick man was healed instantly and actually began to walk as Jesus commanded.
However, this sick man did not thank Jesus, rather, he told the Jewish leaders on Jesus. Jesus spoke to this person. "Do not sin no more."
But, this person did not change after he got healed by His power.
Beloved, How do we respond to the power of God's restoration and salvation?
