WHO
WE ARE

01
Worship

Worship is at the heart of the New Testament Church. Worship is something we will do for all of eternity. As worshipers, we recognize that worship is a vertical ministry to God. It is the fulfillment of the first commandment. to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. Our worship is to be lived out weekly in our lives, and extravagantly celebrated together as a community in our gathered worship. As a community, The Lord’s Church worships God regularly each week on the Lord’s...

The Word of God

We at The Lord’s Church are committed to the authority of the inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God. Jesus said, “heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” (Matt. 24:35) We affirm and believe that the Word of God is Living, and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword. It is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Heb. 4:12) The Holy Scriptures are able to make us wise for salvation through faith in Christ. All Scripture is given by inspiration...

03
Prayer

Jesus said, “Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” (Mark 11:24) We believe that prayer not only changes us; prayer also changes our circumstances and reality. As Christians, we are called to fervently pray in a way that changes the course of history. We believe that revival is available to every generation. God has promised that if His people will humble themselves and pray, then He will hear and respond.

Fellowship

The Church of Jesus Christ is a consecrated community. Our fellowship is centered in the person of Christ. The community of faith in Christ has been described through the analogy of spokes on a wagon wheel, with Jesus Christ at the central hub. The closer we come to Christ, the closer we also come to each other. Our convergence as a community is ultimately realized through intimacy with Jesus. As a community of faith, we are committed, not to programs and methods, but to ...

Ministry

We believe that Christians are called to minister the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ through effective ministry. As Christians, our primary ministry is to God. At the same time, we are called to minister God’s love to others. Jesus said that the second commandment, which is to love our neighbor as ourselves, is like the first commandment, which is to love God. True worship, therefore, includes a wholehearted devotion to God that is expressed through loving service to others.

27 Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel, 28 and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God. 29 For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake, 30 having the same conflict which you saw in me and now hear is in me. 1Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, 2 fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. 4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. 5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,

1 When morning came, all the chief priests and elders of the people plotted against Jesus to put Him to death. 2 And when they had bound Him, they led Him away and delivered Him to Pontius Pilate the governor. Judas Hangs Himself 3 Then Judas, His betrayer, seeing that He had been condemned, was remorseful and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, 4 saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.” And they said, “What is that to us? You see to it!” 5 Then he threw down the pieces of silver in the temple and departed, and went and hanged himself. 6 But the chief priests took the silver pieces and said, “It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, because they are the price of blood.” 7 And they consulted together and bought with them the potter’s field, to bury strangers in. 8 Therefore that field has been called the Field of Blood to this day. 9 Then was fulfilled what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying, “And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the value of Him who was priced, whom they of the children of Israel priced, 10 and gave them for the potter’s field, as the Lord directed me.” 11 Now Jesus stood before the governor. And the governor asked Him, saying, “Are You the King of the Jews?” Jesus said to him, “It is as you say.” 12 And while He was being accused by the chief priests and elders, He answered nothing. 13 Then Pilate said to Him, “Do You not hear how many things they testify against You?” 14 But He answered him not one word, so that the governor marveled greatly. 15 Now at the feast the governor was accustomed to releasing to the multitude one prisoner whom they wished. 16 And at that time they had a notorious prisoner called Barabbas. 17 Therefore, when they had gathered together, Pilate said to them, “Whom do you want me to release to you? Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?” 18 For he knew that they had handed Him over because of envy. 19 While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent to him, saying, “Have nothing to do with that just Man, for I have suffered many things today in a dream because of Him.” 20 But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitudes that they should ask for Barabbas and destroy Jesus. 21 The governor answered and said to them, “Which of the two do you want me to release to you?” They said, “Barabbas!” 22 Pilate said to them, “What then shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?” They all said to him, “Let Him be crucified!” 23 Then the governor said, “Why, what evil has He done?” But they cried out all the more, saying, “Let Him be crucified!” 24 When Pilate saw that he could not prevail at all, but rather that a tumult was rising, he took water and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, “I am innocent of the blood of this just Person. You see to it.” 25 And all the people answered and said, “His blood be on us and on our children.” 26 Then he released Barabbas to them; and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered Him to be crucified.

The Glory of the Cross

Verse 1 My eyes have seen the beauty of the Lord A beauty that this world could never know You were despised and rejected Though You had done nothing wrong A man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief Your very own did not receive You Though You had come as Heaven's light Your disciples all forsook You But in Your death, You gave us life Chorus The glory of the cross, the glory of the cross The light that changes darkness into day The beauty of Your love, revealed upon the cross Has saved my life, and washed all fear away Verse 2 My eyes have seen the glory of the Lord The mystery revealed through the cross Our hearts were blind because of darkness We could not see Him as He is He had no outward form of beauty, as it were He chose to bear our griefs and sorrows He chose to die for our sins He paid our price and by His stripes we are healed Tag I believe in the power of the cross I believe in the power of His love I've been healed by the cleansing of His blood My eyes have seen the glory of the cross Chorus 2 Hallelujah (Hallelujah) Thank You for the cross Hallelujah (Hallelujah) Thank You for Your love God our savior Lord forever His blood has paid the cost My eyes have seen the glory of the cross _ Words & Music by Scott Brenner

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ ” 16 And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.
